1. Once the nappy has been soiled, remove from baby and dispose of any solid poo (directly into the toilet is best).
  2. Place separated nappies and inserts into the dry-pail (a basket with holes to let air flow through), while they wait for the ‘Pre-wash’.
Optional: Rinse the nappy shell and liner in cold water and squeeze liquid out.
  3. Once you are ready to wash, every few days, run a 'Pre-wash'.
  4. A short wash with just the nappies/liners, ideally between 40-60°, with washing powder.
  5. Run a 'Main-wash', which is your normal/longer cycle between 40-60°. You can add any other washing to this cycle too.
  6. Hang the nappy shell and liners out to dry (note: only inserts can go in the dryer).

Its as simple as that! Wear, wash, dry - repeat!

Tip: You may wish to do a 'Pre-wash' before your bedtime, then add the extra laundry and choose a delayed start on the washing machine for your 'Main-wash' so it's ready to be hung out in the morning for a full day of sun (hopefully).
