- Prepare the Nappy: Insert and flatten the insert inside the nappy pocket.
- Lift the Baby: Carefully lift your baby's legs and place their bottom on the nappy.
- Position Correctly: The nappy should be at the same level as your baby’s waist. Ensure it's not too high or too low.
- Secure the Nappy: Fasten the nappy snugly. Adjust the domes to achieve a comfortable but firm fit. You can pre snap together the 'rise' domes (the domes at the front to make the nappy smaller).
- Check the Leg Holes: Ensure there are no gaps around the thighs. It should be snug but not too tight to avoid discomfort or marks on the skin. Running your finger around these works well.
- Adjust the Waistband: The waistband should be snug but comfortable. You should be able to fit two or three fingers under the waistband but no more.
- Final Inspection: Do a final check to ensure the nappy is even, sung, but comfy.

Having a snug fitting reusable nappy is crucial for preventing leaks and blowouts. A well-fitted nappy ensures that all waste is contained within the nappy, keeping your baby comfortable and preventing any mess from escaping. This not only keeps your baby clean and dry but also reduces laundry and clean-up time. Additionally, a secure fit helps to avoid skin irritations and ensures the nappy stays in place as your baby moves and plays.

Simply place the insert inside the pocket (through the opening at the back of the nappy). It only takes a few seconds — think of it like stuffing a duvet cover: it'll work better and feel more comfortable when it’s laid out flat, with the corners smoothed out.
